I haven’t posted here in about a week so I figured I would get a post up tonight. Sorry that I haven’t posted here a lot lately, I’ve been really busy within my business. I don’t have anything specific to write about tonight, but I will just give an update what I’ve been doing the past week or so.
As you know, if you’ve been reading my blog posts, I’m leaving for Florida on the 31st of March (staying in Detroit and then flying out April 1st). I’ve been doing my best to keep working hard in the gym and in the kitchen with my eating. It has been tough lately with being busy with work and a lot of activities going on within my group of friends during the weekends – but I’ve done a pretty good job.
The weekend wasn’t a good one as far as getting in good workouts or eating healthy, but I got right back into the swing of things on Monday. On Monday I did a partial fast only drinking my morning shake and a greens juice from my new juicer until later at night. At night time I had a chicken breast and then went to bed. After an unhealthy weekend it felt good.
I’ve been getting in some good workouts every day so far this week. Tomorrow I’m going to try out a “spin” cardio class with my girlfriend to get a good cardio workout in. I’m also going to try and get my weight lifting workout in afterwards if I’m still alive. And then I plan to workout Saturday with some more cardio.
So far this week has been really good as far as my eating goes, and I hope to continue that until tomorrow. The weekend I will give myself a couple cheat meals, but I don’t want to over do it. Next week I’m going to eat extremely clean before I leave.
One thing I want to make a staple in my routine is weekly or bi-weekly massages. I’ve been doing a lot of reading on how good massages are for your body, especially if you are lifting weights a lot. I started off the week with a massage Monday, but I was disappointed with it. Over the phone I asked to book a “deep tissue” massage, but the girl they booked me with couldn’t really give me the pressure I wanted. Although she gave a really good “relaxation” massage it wasn’t what I was looking for. I booked at a different place for tomorrow (Friday) so I will let you know how that goes.
