What I’ve Been Up To in May

As I’ve stated on this blog before, this is somewhat of a personal workout blog for me as well so from time to time I will just share what’s up on my end of things and what I’ve been up to as far as life, in the gym, and plans for this Workout Tipster blog.

Although I have been getting the odd new blog post up here I have to admit that I’ve been slacking a little bit and need to get more focused on providing consistent posts. I am thinking that I may start a set schedule such as posting every single Monday, Wednesday and Friday. If I have something to do Friday where I can’t write a workout related post I will write it Thursday and set it to publish on Friday. This would give everyone who follows this blog more of a guideline on when they can expect new posts so that you won’t have to check daily and sometimes go a week without a new post.

So far in May I have been training pretty hard, but have also had some pretty big cheat weekends where I missed a few workouts, ate pretty unhealthy and had maybe a few too many beers. We had a long weekend here in Canada which is known for relaxing, BBQ’ing, playing some golf, and just hanging out with some friends having some beers. I actually did a good job working out Saturday morning of the long weekend after some drinks Friday night and got to the gym the holiday Monday before it closed early. The workouts weren’t anything too serious, but just getting to the gym is a positive.

I’ve been testing out a few new supplements that I will review here shortly. Some that I really have fallen in love with, and a couple that I haven’t noticed a big difference but at a cheap price online may be in my daily supplement list throughout the year.

Me and a friend who is a fitness professional (and really knows his stuff) have been putting together a muscle building workout plan that we are going to release online within the next week or so. This is going to be for guys who want to pack on 10-20 pounds of muscle mass in about 4-6 weeks time. The program is called “Quick Muscle Formula” and if you’re looking to build muscle this program is bad ass. More on that to come here at the blog soon.

Right now we are about a month away from the official start of summer, although with the weather I’ve gotten it sort of already feels like summer is here. May is going to be my last month of training for size, and in June and July I will be “cutting” to try and get shredded up a little bit. Around this time last year I was battling a shoulder injury, so it’s been good being able to lift heavy and put on some mass in the spring.

I’ve got a couple ideas for posts coming up here, but like always if there is anything you want me to write about or any questions you have feel free to leave them in the comments section. Talk soon – keep training hard.
